Pierre Ducasse :

* Born in 1972, in Sept-Iles. He's a citizen of Québec, Canada's francophone province.

* He has a B.A. and M.A. in political science from Laval University, in the city of Québec (1992-1998).

* From 1998 to 2003, he was director of Quebec's Table nationale des Corporations de développement communautaire. In addition to his work in organisation, lobbying, communication and research, he also sat on the executive boards of the Advisory council on community action and on the Social economy network.

* He is also involved politically in Canada's New Democratic Party. From 1990 to 1992, he was associate-president of the NDP's youth wing. Between 2000 and 2005, he was associate-president of the federal party. He was also candidate in the 2002 leadership race. His speech to the party's Convention was highly praised.
