I'm just speaking for my country, the good ol' God Blessed USAmerica...democracy is in a sorry state. Might be because the average Joe Lunchbucket is wage-slavery drudge at work and has nothing to contribute to the civic sphere but his or her taxes and the very same mind-numbing mentality that one typically gets drilled into them at work. Hell, the American working public expects squat and for once, actually gets what they expect. What do you think Americans expect of their life as a body politic? Yep, squat, that's what they expect.

Democracy it seems isn't for the working people...it's for 'cultural creatives', the ivory tower and the oligarchic elites.

I was waiting for populist and progressive forces to rescue America from this situation...but progressive activists are too busy concentrating their efforts on gonadal issues.

Hey, other than that, I'm having a nice day! ;)
