We have the Socialist Party USA on side!


The US Socialist Party has a good page on the theme of economic democracy. Good start. But how many candidates do they run? I wonder if they work with the DSA or are they in competition?

DSA runs its candidates within the Democratic Party. SPUSA runs on its own ballot lines. Other than that, probably not a whole lot of difference betwixt the two.

Of the two DSA is more influential, and several members of the congressional Progressive Caucus are members of DSA.

The SP is a small party, but seems to have gone back to its roots after shedding its right-wing Shactmanite faction. I know that some of the members are active in the newly revived SDS as well. Good to see its stand on economic democracy.
