Do you know about the The Institute for Economic Democracy? It seems to be basically a tool to promote the works of J. W. Smith. Have a look at the website if IED. It doesn't seem too bad. However, the definition of "Economic democracy" or "Cooperative capitalism" doesn't seem to be in the same line as ours, here, at Economic democracy for the Americas. What do you think about this work?
Yes, I've seen some of his stuff over the last ten years or so. I share much of his perspective on dependency theory...but I think he needs Jane Jacobs perspective on the development of economies to complete his picture. Not does he need this, so do we! But more about that later.
